What it is
The central settings panel for the organisation. Each section is documented in its own page. This page is the master index + the cross-cutting concept of the two-level default.
It also covers the generic add / remove relationship modal that reappears in many sections: the window with a selection table and the Remove, Cancel and Save buttons you use to link items to each other (a product with its categories, taxes, delivery lead times, machines or operations, and so on).

The key concept: defaults on two levels
It applies to several catalogues and is often a source of confusion.
There are two different places where it is decided what gets used by default when a customer or a document is created:
Level 1 — Catalogue checkbox (informational)
| Catalogue | Does it have a checkbox? |
|---|---|
| Taxes | Yes |
| Delivery lead times | Yes |
| Delivery methods | No |
| Payment terms | No |
| Payment day | No |
| Payment type | No |
| Payment method | No |
The catalogue checkbox is informational only. It marks which row to highlight in the lists, but it is not applied automatically.
Level 2 — Assignment in Company settings (this one is applied)
In Company → Billing address there is a section "Parámetros preterminados para cliente" with five selectors: Tax, Payment terms, Payment day, Payment type, Payment method. What you choose here is what is really used.
Hierarchy when quoting / invoicing
| Action | How it is decided |
|---|---|
| Create a new customer | It takes the values from Company settings. The user can change them. |
| Create an invoice / quote / order / delivery note | The customer's value first. If the customer does not have one, it falls back to Company settings. |
Ticking preterminado = true in the catalogue but not assigning it in Company settings: the default is not applied.
Differences by plan
| Plan | Access |
|---|---|
| TRY / STD | My profile, Company, Billing, Users, Support, Announcements, Currency, Customisation, Calendar, Task manager, Product, Sales, Purchasing, Integration, Counters, Taxes, Payments, Lead times, Delivery methods. |
| PRO | The above + Roles and permissions, Notifications, Mail server, Counter adjuster, Templates (emails, print documents, work orders). |
| FULL | The above + Activity log, Special function, 2FA. |
The add / remove relationship modal
Many sections share the same window for linking items to each other. You will see it, for example, when associating categories, taxes, delivery lead times, machines or operations to a product or to an artwork.
It always works the same way: a table with multiple selection where you tick the rows you want to associate, and a footer with the buttons Remove (where applicable), Cancel and Save. There are no text fields or loose dropdowns in this window: the whole interaction is ticking rows in the table and confirming.
It is a reusable pattern: even though the list you see changes depending on where you open it from (categories, taxes, machines, and so on), the buttons and the way you use it are identical.
How to use it
- Open the window from the relevant section (for example, inside a product, the Taxes or the Machines section).
- Tick in the table the items you want to associate. You can tick several at once.
- Click Save to confirm the selection.
- If you only want to undo a link that already exists, use Remove (when it is available).
- To leave without changes, click Cancel.
Buttons and actions — what each one is for
Literal text of the controls in the add / remove relationship modal.
| Button / Control (text on screen) | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Remove | Deletes the relationship that already exists between the item and its "parent" (for example, unlinking a tax from a product). It only appears when that link can be undone from here. It closes the window applying the change. |
| Cancel | Closes the window without saving anything. The selection you ticked is discarded and nothing changes. |
| Save | Confirms the items ticked in the table and creates the relationship. It is disabled while you have not ticked any row: you need to select at least one item before you can save. |
Key concepts
Cross-cutting terms that come up when using the add / remove relationship modal.
- Relationship: a link between two items. For example, a product with several categories, taxes, machines or operations. This modal is used to add or remove those many-to-many links (one item can be related to several, and the other way round).
- Delivery lead time: the estimated time between the order being confirmed and the product being delivered. It can be associated with a specific product.
- Tax: the tax charge associated with a product. It determines the percentage of VAT or other tax applied when calculating prices.
- Machine (printing): production equipment available to print a specific type of product. It is linked to the artworks of the products.
- Operation: a step in the production process (for example, binding, laminating, die-cutting). It is associated with the artworks to define the production flow.
- Artwork (of the product): the representation or specification of a design within a product. It can have several machines or operations associated with it.
General frequently asked questions
Q: How do I set up the default tax?
A: It is done in two places:
- Optional: in Taxes, tick the preterminado checkbox of the tax.
- Mandatory: in Billing address, section "Parámetros preterminados para cliente", select the tax in the dropdown and save.
Only then is it applied to new customers and invoices.
Q: The same for payment terms, day, type and method.
A: Those catalogues do not have a default checkbox. They are only set up in Billing address → Default parameters.
Q: Where are the invoice templates?
A: In Print templates; it requires the PRO plan.
Q: How do I change the numbering of my invoices?
A: In Counters. You can change the prefix, the digits and/or the counter.
Q: Where do I customise the names of the task states?
A: In Task manager. You have 10 editable states.
Q: It will not let me edit one of the sections.
A: Your user does not have the corresponding permissions. Ask an admin to assign you a role with the permissions you need in Roles and permissions.
Frequently asked questions — adding / removing relationships
Q: How do I associate taxes, categories or machines with a product?
A: Open the relationship window from the relevant section (inside the product: Taxes, Categories, Machines, Operations or Delivery lead times). Tick in the table the items you want to link — you can tick several — and click Save. That creates the relationship.
Q: What is the Save button in this window for?
A: It confirms the items you have ticked in the table and creates the relationship with their "parent" (the product, the artwork, and so on). It is disabled until you tick at least one row, which is why you sometimes see it greyed out.
Q: Why is the Save button disabled / greyed out?
A: Because you have not ticked any row in the table yet. Select at least one item and the button will become active.
Q: What is the Remove button for?
A: It deletes a relationship that already exists (for example, unlinking a tax from a product). It only appears when that link can be undone from here. If you cannot see it, that item is not removed from this window.
Q: I ticked things but I got it wrong. How do I leave without saving?
A: Click Cancel. The window closes and the selection you had ticked is discarded: nothing changes.
Q: What is a relationship in this context?
A: It is the link between two items, for example a product with its categories or its machines. One item can be related to several at the same time (many to many). This window is used to add or remove those links.
Q: Can I associate several items at once?
A: Yes. The table supports multiple selection: tick all the rows you want and click Save just once.
Q: What is a delivery lead time and how do I associate it with a product?
A: It is the estimated time between confirming the order and delivering the product. To associate it, open the Delivery lead times window of the product, tick the lead time in the table and click Save.
Frequently asked questions
