What it is
Advanced maintenance actions that put the system back to a known state when accumulated customisations have got out of hand. These are administrative actions that affect the user's global settings (table columns, custom fields, display preferences). FULL plan only.
What it is for
- Restore the list tables (quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices, customers, payments, products, substrates, operations, machines) to their default view.
- Restore the add field viewers (quoting engine, quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices) when the selected fields have ended up in a strange state.
- Undo customisations that broke the normal flow, without having to go through the data item by item.

Each action has a confirmation dialogue before it runs. Once it has finished you have to reload the page (Ctrl+F5) to see the effect.

Key concepts
- Special Function: an administrative action that affects the user's global settings (resets of display preferences, table columns, custom fields, and so on). It does not touch commercial data.
- Reset table settings: deletes the user's display preferences for the main lists (tables of quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices, customers, payments, products, substrates, operations, machines).
- Reset add field settings: deletes the user's preferences for selected/visible fields in the add field viewers (quoting engine, quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices).
- Add field: the viewer from which you choose which fields are shown on a quoting engine or sales form. Its preferences are the ones cleared by "Reset add field settings".
- ConfiguracionUserPersonalizado: where your custom preferences are stored (visible columns, column order, active form fields). It is what these actions delete in order to go back to the default state.
- Import / Export: takes your settings out to a file (export) or applies settings from outside (import). Only visible with the appropriate permissions.

Frequently asked questions
Q: My tables have strange columns in the wrong place. How do I put them back to how they were?
A: Click Reset table settings. Accept the warning in the confirmation dialogue, wait for it to finish and reload the page (Ctrl+F5). The columns of quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices, customers, payments, products, substrates, operations and machines go back to their original order, width and visibility.
Q: I made changes in the quoting engine and now the forms show strange fields or fields are missing.
A: Click Reset add field settings. It deletes your selected field preferences in the add field viewers (quoting engine, quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices) and leaves them with their default list.

Q: I opened the reset warning by mistake. How do I get out without changing anything?
A: Click Cancel. It closes the dialogue without running any special function; your settings stay exactly as they were.

Q: Does this delete data from my invoices, orders or products?
A: No. It only deletes the view settings stored in ConfiguracionUserPersonalizado (which columns are shown, which fields are edited). Commercial data (invoices, products, customers, payments) is not touched.
Q: Why can I not see the change after resetting?
A: After running any reset you have to reload the page (Ctrl+F5) so that the new view is applied on screen.
Q: Is there a way to make a backup before resetting?
A: Not automatically. If you have a table view or a set of fields you like, make a note of it (or export it with Import / Export if you have permission) before resetting.
