What it is
How the task and planning calendar looks and behaves: default view, visible working hours, slot granularity and which date is used when a quote is accepted.
What it is for
- Choosing whether the calendar opens in Weekly view or Monthly view.
- Adjusting the visible working hours (start and end hour) and the granularity of the segments.
- Deciding which days are shown (all days, working days, Monday to Saturday, Tuesday to Saturday).
- Adapting the visual size of the segments with the height in pixels.
- Defining which date on the quote (acceptance or delivery) automatically creates an event in the calendar, and how many extra days are added to it.

How "When a quote is accepted, show it on the day" works
When someone accepts a quote, the system automatically creates an entry in the calendar for production:
- If you choose Quote ACCEPTANCE date: the entry appears on the date it was accepted.
- If you choose DELIVERY date from the quote: the entry appears on the delivery date planned in the quote.
The configured Additional days are added to that date.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How do I make the calendar always open in month view?
A: In Default view choose Monthly view. When you open the module you will see the full month instead of the week.
Q: How do I make my week start on Monday?
A: In Start day of the week select Monday. The first day shown in the week will become Monday.
Q: My working hours are 8:00-18:00 and I see every hour of the day. How do I adjust it?
A: In Weekly calendar start hour put 8 and in Weekly calendar end hour put 18. You will only see those hours in the weekly view. Remember: the end hour must be later than the start hour.
Q: How do I see the calendar with 30-minute slots so that I can plan better?
A: In Weekly calendar hour segment choose Every 30 minutes. Each hour will be split into two slots. You also have Every 20 minutes, Every 15 minutes, Every 12 minutes, Every 10 minutes and Every 5 minutes.
Q: I do not want to see weekends. How do I hide them?
A: Select Working days: it excludes Sunday and Saturday from the calendar. If you only want to hide Sunday, use Monday to Saturday; if you want to hide Sunday and Monday, use Tuesday to Saturday. To see them all again, choose All days.
Q: The calendar looks very compressed. How do I make it bigger?
A: Raise the value of Height of the weekly calendar segments to 60-80. Each segment will take up more space on screen, although you will see fewer slots at a time.
Q: What are "Quote ACCEPTANCE date" and "DELIVERY date from the quote" for?
A: They define which date on the quote automatically creates an event in the calendar. With Quote ACCEPTANCE date the event appears on the date it was accepted; with DELIVERY date from the quote it appears on the planned delivery date.
Q: I want the job to be scheduled 2 days after the quote is accepted. How do I set that up?
A: In the day field (additional days) put 2. Those days are added to the starting date (acceptance or delivery, depending on what you have chosen).
Q: I changed some settings but I do not want to apply them. How do I leave without saving?
A: Click Close: it closes the calendar settings modal without saving any changes. To apply the changes, click Save.
Q: What is the "default scheduling hour" in the monthly view?
A: It is the start hour of the weekly calendar. That same hour is used by default when scheduling in the monthly view.
