What it is
A single panel where the announcements CotizaPrint sends to users (notices, maintenance) and the updates of each new release of the application (the changes that have been published) appear together, sorted by date.
What it is for
- Keep the user informed of the notices CotizaPrint sends them.
- See what has changed in the application in each published release, without leaving the screen.
- Find out what is new without looking for it: the window opens on its own when you log in if there is something you have not seen yet.
How it is used
- Go to Settings → Help and Support → Announcements and updates (button with the campaign icon).
- The modal opens with the title "Announcements and updates": the list on the left (Inbox), the reading area on the right.
- Press a row in the list to open it. Its content is shown on the right:
- If it is an announcement (campaign icon), you read its message.
- If it is an update (auto_awesome icon), you see the changes of that release grouped into New, Improvement, Fix and Removed.
- When you open a row, its unread dot disappears.
- You do not have to go looking for it: when there is an announcement or an update you have not seen yet, the window opens on its own when you log in to the application.
Layout of the screen
It is a read-only viewer: the user does not edit or delete anything, only reads.
- Left column (Inbox) — list with your announcements and the updates of each release, newest first. Each row carries:
- an icon showing what it is: campaign for an announcement, auto_awesome for an update;
- its date and, for updates, the version number (for example
2026.08.011); - an unread dot if you have not opened it yet.
If there is nothing to show, the message "No announcements or updates" appears.
- Right column — the content area. While you have not chosen anything it shows the ads_click icon and the guide text "Select an announcement to read it". When you press a row, its message (announcement) or its list of changes grouped by category (update) is rendered here.
Notifications bell (header)
Next to the AI button in the header there is a notifications bell. It is the discreet way of telling you that you have something pending, without interrupting you with pop-up messages:
- When something is pending, the bell shows the notifications_active icon with a counter and a slight movement. With nothing pending, it shows the notifications icon with no counter.
- Pressing it opens a small drop-down with the notices:
- Tickets with a reply — takes you to the Help centre page (tickets) to review the ones with an unread reply.
- If there is nothing pending, it shows "All up to date".
- The bell no longer lists announcements, and its counter counts only the Tickets with a reply. Announcements and updates arrive by their own route: the Announcements and updates window opens on its own when you log in if there is something new. The unread dot still exists inside the list in the modal.
Buttons and actions — what each one is for
This module is a read-only viewer: there are no save, edit or delete buttons. What the user sees are the list, the content area and the status icons.

Key concepts
- Announcement: informative message the company sends to the user (notices, maintenance). It is identified by the campaign icon in the list. It is read-only: it cannot be edited or deleted.
- Update: summary of the changes published in a release of the application. It is identified by the auto_awesome icon and shows its changes grouped into New, Improvement, Fix and Removed.
- Version: each publication of the application. It is named with the format
AAAA.MM.NNN= year, month and a three-digit counter that starts again each month. For example,2026.08.011is the eleventh publication of August 2026. The number appears next to the date, both in the list and in the heading of the update. - Inbox: the list on the left, where announcements and updates are mixed together sorted by date, newest first.
- Unread: an announcement or an update you have not opened yet. It is identified by an unread dot on its row. When you open it, the dot disappears.
- Automatic opening: when there is an announcement or an update you have not seen, the Announcements and updates window opens on its own when you log in to the application. If you have seen everything, it does not appear.
- What you have seen is remembered in this browser: the application stores on the device itself how far you have read. That is why, if you log in from another computer or with another browser, the window may appear once more.
- "No announcements or updates": text that appears in the list when there is nothing available for your user.
- "Select an announcement to read it": guide text of the content area (next to the ads_click icon) that appears while you have not opened any row.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How do I read an announcement?
A: Open Announcements and updates from Settings → Help and Support and press the row you want in the left column. Its content is shown on the right.
Q: Where are the release notes now? I used to have a separate button.
A: They are inside Announcements and updates, in the same list as the announcements. There is no longer a separate button: everything is read in a single window. The updates are the rows with the auto_awesome icon and their version number next to the date; when you press one, you will see its changes grouped into New, Improvement, Fix and Removed.
Q: What is the number next to the date of an update, something like 2026.08.011?
A: It is the version number: year, month and a three-digit counter that starts again each month. It is there to identify each publication of the application.
Q: How do I see what is new in the application?

Q: Why does the Announcements and updates window open on its own when I log in?
A: Because there is an announcement or an update you had not seen yet. It is the way of making sure nothing new gets past you. Close it whenever you like: once you have seen it, it will not open by itself again until something new is published.
Q: I already saw it and it comes back on another computer. Why?
A: Because what you have seen is remembered on the device itself, not in your account. When you log in from another computer or with another browser, the window may appear once more. Close it and on that machine it will not come back either until there is something new. The same happens if you clear your browsing data.
Q: The window does not appear when I log in. Is that right?
A: Yes: it means you have already seen every announcement and every update. You can read them whenever you like from Settings → Help and Support → Announcements and updates.
Q: How do I know what I have not read yet?
A: Unread rows carry an unread dot in the list on the left. It disappears when you open the row.
Q: What does the message "No announcements or updates" mean?
A: That there is nothing available to show. There is nothing waiting to be read.
Q: I went in and all I see is "Select an announcement to read it". What do I do?
A: It is the guide message of the content area (next to the ads_click icon). It appears because you have not chosen a row yet. Press one from the list on the left and its content will be shown on the right.
Q: Can I delete or edit an announcement or an update?
A: No. They are read-only for the user: they can only be read. There are no delete or edit buttons.
Q: What is the campaign icon for?
A: It identifies the Announcements and updates section and, in the list, it marks the rows that are announcements. Release updates are marked with the auto_awesome icon.
