Everything released in CotizaPrint is recorded here with its version number, its date and what changed. Inside the application it is shown to you only the first time you log in after a new version.
What it is
A record of the improvements and new features added to CotizaPrint, explained in plain language. Each entry is a version: a day of work released, with its number, its date and the list of what changed, split into New, Improvement, Fix and Removed.
What it is for
- Discovering the new features and modules already available to you.
- Knowing what has improved on the platform, and since when.
- Checking whether a fault you reported is already fixed, and in which version.
How to use it
- Inside the application: the "What's new" window opens on its own the first time you log in after a new version is released. Once you close it, it does not come back until the next one. To look at it whenever you like: Settings → Help and Support → What's new (auto_awesome icon); you pick the version on the left and see its contents on the right.
- In the public manual: this very page shows the versions grouped by month, from the most recent to the oldest.
Key concepts
- Version number — it takes the form 2026.08.002: year, month and a counter that starts again each month. The higher the number, the more recent.
- One version per 10 items — items are grouped into the open version until ten of them are gathered; the version is then closed and the next one starts. When the month changes a new version always starts, even if the previous one was left unfinished. Inside the application the version appears once it is closed (when its ten items are complete, or when the month ends), not before.
- New — features or modules that did not exist before.
- Improvement — something that was already there and now works better, faster or more comfortably.
- Fix — a fault resolved and released. This is the section to check when you want to know whether something that was failing is already sorted.
- Removed — options or screens that have ceased to exist, usually because their function has moved elsewhere.
Features by plan / role
Available on every plan from TRY, for any user. No permission required. Features that require a specific plan say so on their own line.
If something does not add up
| Symptom | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| It did not open on its own when I logged in | You had already seen it in that browser, or there is no new version since last time | Open it from Settings → Help and Support → What's new |
| It opens again on another computer or browser | The notice is remembered in each browser separately | Close it once in that browser and it will not come back |
| It says "No versions published yet" | There was no connection to the server when it opened | Reload the application; if it stays the same, open a ticket from Help and Support |
| A change I noticed does not appear | Only what the user notices is recorded; internal adjustments are not listed | Ask the assistant or open a ticket if you need it confirmed |
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is this thing that was failing already fixed?
A: Check the Fix section of the most recent versions: that is where what has been corrected appears, with the name of the screen or the action affected. If you find your case, the fix is already released and you only need to reload the application. If it does not appear, open a ticket from Help and Support stating the screen and the steps.
Q: Where do I see the latest thing added to CotizaPrint?
A: In Settings → Help and Support → What's new. The version at the top is always the most recent and is split into New, Improvement, Fix and Removed.
Q: Why does a window with the release notes appear when I log in?
A: Because a new version has been released since the last time you logged in. It is shown only once per version; once you close it, it does not appear again.
Q: How do I see the release notes again if I closed the window?
A: In Settings → Help and Support → What's new, with the full history of previous versions.
Q: What does the number 2026.08.002 mean?
A: Year, month and a counter of releases for that month: it is the second version of August 2026.
Q: Is a version released every time something changes?
A: No. Everything released on the same day is grouped into a single version.
Q: I reported a fault, how do I know which version fixed it?
A: Look for its description in the Fix section: the version number heading that block is the one that includes it, and its date tells you when it was released.
Q: Can I turn the notice off?
A: There is no need: it only appears once per version. Close it and it will not come back until the next release.
Q: I log in from several computers and it appears on all of them.
A: The notice is remembered in the browser you use, so the first time on each one it is shown. After that it is not.
Q: Why does a change I have noticed not appear in the list?
A: Only the changes the user notices are recorded. Internal adjustments are not listed here.
Q: How often is this page updated?
A: With every release. Items are grouped in tens: each block of ten is a version, and in the public manual they are ordered by month.

- Título corto: qué cambia para el usuario.
Numbering is `<year>.<2-digit month>.<3-digit counter that restarts each month>`. **One version per 10 items within the month, not one per day nor one per change**: while the most recent version of the month has fewer than 10 items (adding up its categories), new items are added there; on reaching 10 it is closed and the next item opens a new entry above it with the counter +1. When the month changes a new version opens with counter `001` even if the previous one was left below 10. The date in the heading is the day the version was opened and is not rewritten afterwards. The history prior to this rule (`2026.08.001` and earlier) is left as it is. Wording for the end customer: no file names, endpoints, tables or jargon. If the user does not notice the change, it is not written here — only in `CHANGELOG.md`. Most recent version at the top. The rule is recorded in both `CLAUDE.md` files.

## 2026.09.008 - 2026-09-20
### Improvement
- **Screens that take a while to load now tell you so**: the Dashboard, the widget board on the home screen, the Sales Statistics and the Organiser cover the screen while they fetch the data, so you cannot filter or click on a half-loaded screen. On top of that, totals and counters show a dash instead of a **0** while they are loading: before it looked as though you had nothing when the data was in fact still on its way.
## 2026.09.007 - 2026-09-20
### New
- **The application is now available in French**: in **Settings → Customisation → System language** you can choose French, alongside Spanish, English and Portuguese. It affects both the screen and the emails the platform sends. If you register your company with France as the country, the account starts in French straight away. You can also set the language of each customer on their record, so their documents and emails reach them in their own.
- **Help opens in your language**: the help pages and the public manual are starting to become available in English, Portuguese and French, and are shown to you in the language you have set. The ones not yet translated are still shown in Spanish, so you are never left without the explanation. The getting started guide, the inventory guide and the quoting engine are already available translated; the rest will follow.
### Fix
- **The AI assistant stopped answering when adding sizes to a substrate**: when you asked it things like "on the microperforated vinyl, add the 100 and 137 cm options", the assistant prepared the change correctly but the turn was discarded and you saw nothing on screen. That no longer happens: roll sizes are saved with the height at 0, as they should be, and the assistant answers even when it has no warnings to give you.
- **The assistant created materials with nonsensical names**: when creating a product it could set up a substrate called "Substrate 9x5", with the size of the piece instead of the material and with no cost. It now uses the name of the material and, if you already have one that fits, reuses yours instead of creating an empty one.
- **The AI assistant confused centimetres with millimetres**: if you asked it for a material 137 cm wide or a 9×5 card, it saved 1370 and 90×50. It now always uses the centimetres you type, on substrates, products and machines.
- **The assistant asks less and gets it right more often**: if you name a material you already have, it adds the size directly instead of asking you again for the name and the type; and when creating a finishing operation with several options it no longer repeats one and leaves another out.
- **Asking a question no longer changes your data**: when you typed a query inside a product record, the assistant replied by changing the name or switching on "print bleed". Now a question leaves the record untouched.
- **Adding a customer no longer loses the address**, and if you type a dash in the phone number or the email it reads it as "I do not have one" instead of asking for it again.
- **Text generated with AI is more faithful**: the description of a quote no longer presents the width of the reel you buy as the size of the job, nor adds finishing you have not specified; and the description of a machine does not invent formats or capacities.
- **New help in the assistant**: it now answers what the **gutter** between ups is and where it is set, how a product's **margins** are entered, how to change the margin of an **Extra cost** and how to undo a **Pay in full** clicked by mistake. Before it sent you to screens that do not exist.
- **The delivery lead time surcharge was overcharged on quotes with several artworks**: the rush surcharge was applied once per artwork and, what is more, on top of an amount that already carried the previous artwork's surcharge, so it compounded on itself. With two artworks it could end up doubled. It is now worked out **once, on the total for the job**, as its settings state, and split across the artworks so that you can see which part belongs to each. Quotes with a single artwork are unchanged.
- **The delivery lead time now raises the price, not just the cost, on products priced from a table**: if you chose a rush lead time on a product whose price comes from a table, the surcharge was added to the cost but the selling price barely moved, so the margin absorbed it. The price now rises in the same proportion as the cost. If the product already has a default lead time with a surcharge, that surcharge is still counted in its table and nothing changes.
- **An outsourced artwork no longer makes the cutting of the others more expensive**: if you mark one artwork as outsourced on a quote with several of them, that one does not pay for guillotining — as always — but its paper also stops counting towards working out the cutting of the rest. Before, the cutting of the others came out dearer because of paper nobody cuts.
- **The machine can never come out free because of the ink colour**: if your machine only has the price per colour pass set (or only the black and white one) and the job was of the other kind, the machine line disappeared from the quote entirely and not even its minimum cost was applied. The general price per pass or the minimum cost you have configured is now used, never the price for the other kind of ink, and we warn you so that you can complete the machine record.
- **The gap between impressions is respected when trimming the sheet**: when the product has spacing between ups, the calculation no longer places more impressions than physically fit on the sheet, so the paper you are quoted is the paper actually used.
## 2026.09.006 - 2026-09-19
### Improvement
- **The Margin alert now comes with the Pro plan**: highlighting in amber and red the quotes, lines and quote calculations whose margin drops below the threshold you decide used to be a Full plan feature and is now available from Pro, with its own thresholds for the quoting engine, the document and each line, and its indicators in Analysis. If you already had it configured, it stays as it was.
### Fix
- **The guillotine cutting of the sheet now takes the height of the stack into account**: if the print run of sheets exceeds your guillotine's cutting height, the quote counts the batches needed (for example, 1,250 sheets of 130 gsm with an 8 cm opening are 3 batches). Until now it was charged as though the whole stack were cut in one go, so the guillotine cost of the sheet came out below the real one. The cutting of the substrate already did this correctly.
## 2026.09.005 - 2026-09-18
### Improvement
- **Your invoice reaches you by email with the PDF attached**: when an invoice of yours is issued, you receive it at the billing email on your record with the PDF already attached, as well as always having it available in your account. Before you had to go in and look for it.
### Fix
- **The verification code and the QR of a VERI*FACTU invoice now appear when you check its status**: when you clicked to update the status of an invoice signed with VERI*FACTU, the AEAT verification code and the QR were not collected, so the invoice was left signed but without them and the printed document came out without the e-invoicing box. With TicketBAI it already worked.
- **The notification email for an electronic invoice only shows the data of the system that signs it**: on VERI*FACTU the provincial tax region and the TBAI identifier — which belong to TicketBAI and came out empty — no longer appear, and the AEAT code is identified by name. The link to the PDF is not repeated either, since it is already attached to the email itself.
- **Column widths and order are kept when you close and reopen**: in Quotes, Orders, Delivery notes and Invoices you can narrow or widen each column and place them in whatever order suits you; when you go back in, the table opens exactly like that, without readjusting itself.
## 2026.09.004 - 2026-09-17
### Fix
- **A line's discount percentage is now applied to its amount on saving**: the line's net, tax and total come out with the discount deducted, so the invoice is recorded for the amount actually charged to the customer and stops appearing under **Outstanding payments** once it is paid.
- **The same amount on every screen**: quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices, the printed document and the payments screen show the same figure for a document with a discount.
- **Credit notes and amended invoices for a line with a discount** keep the same percentage as the line they correct, so the credit note comes out for the right amount.
- **VERI*FACTU e-invoicing: registration was left in error right after signing**. When you finished signing the registration document, the process stopped and the record moved to an error state, even though your data and your signature were correct. It now completes normally; if it happened to you, you can launch the registration again from **Sales → E-invoicing**.
- **Registering again no longer gets stuck**. If a registration was left in error, the next attempt could fail without ever sending you the email with the signing link. The new attempt now releases the previous record on its own.
- **You no longer have to click "New registration" twice**: when repeating an e-invoicing registration, the first attempt was left without a signing link and you had to launch it again. It now works first time.
- **If an e-invoicing registration is left in error, the record tells you what to do**: there is nothing to cancel, you just click "New registration" and you will receive a fresh signing link.
- **Merging several invoices into a single printed document no longer loses the credit note or amended invoice marking**: if you put two invoices for the same customer together with **Print merged**, the printed document came out without the label stating that they are a **credit note**, an **amended invoice** or a **simplified invoice** — the one that does appear when you print them separately — so a credit note read as an ordinary invoice. The merged document now carries the same label, with the reference and the date of the invoice it corrects.
- **Links arriving by email can now be clicked**: when an email from CotizaPrint included an address written into the text (for example the link to complete an e-invoicing registration), it came out as plain text and you had to copy it by hand. It can now be clicked directly, and the message reads straight through, without the loose block that used to break it up.
## 2026.09.003 - 2026-09-08
### New
- **Margin alert: weak quotes stand out at a glance** (Pro plan). In **Settings → Margin alert** you set two thresholds: below the first the margin comes out in orange and below the second in red. You can set different thresholds for the quoting engine, for the document total and for each line, because a single line is not judged in the same way as the whole quote. The colour appears in the list of quotes, orders, delivery notes and invoices (document row and line row), inside the document window and in the quoting engine's overall margin. Two cases are up to you: whether you want a warning when the selling price is 0 (a gift or a sample gives a negative margin by definition, so out of the box it does not warn) and whether you want a warning when there is no cost loaded (with no cost the margin comes out at 100% and no alert would trigger, so out of the box it does warn). Until you switch it on, nothing changes in appearance.
### Improvement
- **Extra costs in the quoting engine remember how you work out their margin**: when you added an extra cost it always came out with the product's margin, and if you work with an independent margin you had to change them one by one. Now a new extra cost appears with the last option you used, and extra costs already saved keep theirs.
- **On mobile you can now set a column's width by typing it, and the table warns you about columns that are off screen**: adjusting the width by dragging with a finger was almost impossible, because the strip on the edge of the header could not even be seen. On mobile and tablet that strip is now always visible and touching it opens a window to type the width in pixels. What is more, a shadow on the edge of the table shows when there are more columns off screen, to the right or to the left, something that before was only given away by the scrollbar while you were dragging it.
### Fix
- **Adjusting stock downwards no longer gives an error**: when doing a stock count, a stock out or setting a balance lower than the one you had, the platform replied with an error and the adjustment was not saved; only stock in worked. It is now saved with its reason and the balance is up to date. It affects **Purchasing and stock**, the movements window of a substrate and the substrate purchase list.
- **Stock by colour, size or variant can now be moved**: if the material has no sizes but colours, sizes or variants, no movement was ever saved — not an adjustment, not the stock in when receiving a purchase order, not the stock in from a purchase. They now work just like the ones by size.
- **Your columns and filters are kept when you go back in**: on logging out, screen preferences were wiped — language, columns and row height of the tables, calendar and organiser filters, the last payment method used at the till — and you had to set everything up again on each visit. They are now kept. In exchange, on leaving, everything belonging to the session is wiped completely, so that if someone else logs in afterwards on the same machine they find none of your unfinished work.
- **The quoting engine no longer splits the paper into pieces the job does not fit on**: when the material is bigger than the machine and has to be cut, the quoting engine tried the cut with the machine in one orientation only. In some cases (for example, a 32×47 poster on a 70×33 sheet in a 33×48 printer) that produced pieces too narrow for the impression, and the quote came out with fewer sheets than needed. It now also tries the cut with the machine turned, picks a piece the job fits on and charges for the paper actually required. If you have saved quote calculations for products like these, it is worth recalculating them.
- **On iPhone and iPad you can now see the bottom of screens and windows**: in Safari, the browser's button bar covered the last strip of the screen. In the lists, the paginator and the rows-per-page selector were hidden, and when you opened a window the **Save** button appeared cut off, with a grey strip underneath. Screens and windows now fit the visible area of the phone, and windows open covering the full screen.
- **The application no longer goes blank on a slow connection**: with poor coverage or a network that drops halfway through loading, logging in could show a white or grey screen with nothing else, or the page reloading over and over. Now, while the application or a new screen is downloading, a loading indicator is always shown, and if the connection fails an **Offline** notice appears with a **Retry** button. If the failure happens when moving between screens, you can also click **Back** and carry on from the screen you were on without losing what you had half done.
- **The top menu is no longer cut off on medium-sized screens**: on laptops and intermediate window sizes the buttons in the top bar overlapped each other and the drop-down menu did not appear. The bar now checks the space it actually has and switches to the drop-down menu on its own as soon as the buttons stop fitting, at any window size and in any language.
- **You now know why "Print merged" is unavailable**: in the **Share** window, the options that do not match what you have selected came out greyed out and, when clicked, nothing happened and no reason was given (the reason only appeared by hovering the mouse over them, and never on a phone or tablet). Each blocked option now shows what it is missing underneath — for example, "Select at least 2 documents from the same customer" — and clicking it also brings up a notice with that same text. It applies equally to **Download single PDF**, **Download ZIP**, **Print ticket**, **Send by email** and **Direct**. These notices can now also be seen in English and Portuguese.
## 2026.09.002 - 2026-09-02
### New
- **We warn you if your company's billing details are missing before you pay**: in **Subscription status** and in the **Cycle summary** window, if your company record is missing the tax document (VAT number, RUT, RUC… depending on your country), the address or the town, a notice appears with what is missing and a **Complete details** button. You can still pay: the notice blocks nothing, it only reminds you that without those details we cannot issue the invoice for your subscription correctly. Once a payment goes through, if something is still missing, the **Company** and **Billing address** windows open straight away so that you can complete it there and then. Inside those two windows you will also see the notice while the detail is empty.
### Improvement
- **Shipment statuses stand out at a glance by their colour**: on the tracking page your customer sees, the list of transport statuses (**Booked**, **Collected**, **In transit**, **At destination**, **Out for delivery**, **Delivered**) was all shown in the same colour and you had to read the text of each line to get your bearings. Each status now has its own colour, and it is the same in the three parts of the **Shipment tracking** window: the current status label at the top, each point in the list of statuses and the points on the map. Statuses the shipment has not yet reached stay grey, so you can see instantly how far it has got. If the carrier reports an **incident** or a **return**, those statuses come out in red. The sample shipment (**See tracking example**) shows the full journey with all the colours. **Green is reserved for "Delivered"**: no intermediate status is painted green, so that a shipment that has only reached the local depot ("At destination") or that is on the van ("Out for delivery") is not read as finished — in those cases tracking keeps updating until the carrier reports the delivery.
