What it is
Default values that are applied when you create new products, artworks, substrates, machines and operations. It makes every new item appear pre-filled with your naming convention and your usual values.
Are you looking for the "global margin", "unit cost" (Unit cost), "Add all" button or another Quoting Settings control for a product? That is not adjusted here: it lives on the Products screen (the "Quoting Settings" table of each product). This screen only defines default values / prefixes / lead times when creating new items.
What it is for
- Setting the delivery lead time that new products will carry by default.
- Fixing the prefixes used to name products, artworks, operations, options, costs, machines and substrates automatically (along with their sizes, colours, garment sizes and variants).
- Pre-filling the front and back inks of every new ink.
- Pre-filling the width and the height of every new size.
- Keeping a consistent naming convention without typing the name every time you create an item.
How to use it
- Open the Product Settings modal (configuración → Configuración → Personalización → Configuración Producto).
- Choose the Default delivery lead time for new products.
- Type the prefixes you want for each type of item (products, artworks, operations, machines, substrates, and so on).
- Adjust the default numeric values: front and back inks, width and height of sizes.
- Click Save to apply the settings, or Close to leave without saving.
These values only affect the items you create from now on. Anything already created does not change.

Prefixes for autogenerated names
When you create a product / artwork / substrate without a name, the system gives it the prefix plus a sequential number (Prod.-001, Trab.-002, and so on).

Key concepts
Defines every term that appears on screen. Users ask "what is X?" using these exact words.
- Delivery lead time: standard time in days to deliver a product. Here you define it as the default so that it is applied automatically to new products.
- Prefix (default): text or number placed in front of the name of each new item (product, artwork, operation, machine, substrate) to identify it by category. It is usually combined with a sequential number (
Prod.-001). - Default: value the system fills in on its own when you create a new item. You can change it on each item if you need to.
- Artwork: design element inside a product; it can have ink variations (front/back) and sizes (width/height). Its default prefix is usually
Trab.. - Operation: process or step in the manufacture of a product; it can have options and costs attached.
- Operation option: variant of an operation; it has its own costs.
- Option cost: monetary value attached to an operation option.
- Ink (front / back): colour parameter to be applied on the front side (front) or the rear side (back) of a product. Here you define how many inks each side carries by default.
- Size (width / height): physical dimensions of a product. Here you define the default width and height of new sizes.
- Substrate: base material the artwork is applied to (paper, board, and so on); it has its own size, colour, garment size and variant.

Q: What is the Save button on this screen for?
A: It saves all the product settings and closes the modal. From then on, every product, artwork, substrate, machine, operation, ink or size you create will use these default values.
Q: What does the Close button do?
A: It closes the modal without saving the changes. If you have touched prefixes or values and you do not want to apply them, click Close.
Q: How do I change the prefix of my new products?
A: In Default prefix for new products created: type the prefix you want (e.g. Printshop-) and click Save. The next products will be Printshop-001, Printshop-002, and so on.

Q: The Trab. prefix confuses me. What is it?
A: It is the Default prefix for new artworks created:, which internally is called "Trabajo" (job). Each side or page of the product is an artwork. You can change the prefix to Side-, Page-, whatever feels most natural to you.
Q: Does this affect products, artworks or substrates I have already created?
A: No. It only applies when you create new ones. Existing items keep the name and the values they already had.
