Your catalogue and your quoting engine inside your own website. The customer configures the job, sees the price straight away, and the quote lands in CotizaPrint ready to be accepted.
The ecommerce service: what we do for you
We take care of all three things, and you can take them together or only the one you are missing:
| What we do | |
|---|---|
| Design | We build your shop from scratch or adapt the one you already have: a professional template matched to your brand, information pages and product pages. |
| Development | Custom fields and functions for whatever your shop needs to quote and that does not come as standard. |
| Integration | We connect the shop to CotizaPrint: catalogue, live prices and quotes that come in on their own, with nothing typed twice. |
You do not need to have a website or to know anything about computers. If you already have a shop, we connect it. If you do not have one, we build the whole thing and connect it. In both cases we handle the installation, the testing and a training session.
Click Request information on the connector card and your sales rep will talk it through with you, with no commitment.
See it working
Go into the full ecommerce module: the product catalogue, the calculator with prices that recalculate, the basket and the quote. It is the same one you would have on your website.
What it is
The Integration window, where you manage the connectors with outside platforms. Each connector is a card that you click: doing so opens its record with what it does, how to switch it on and, if it is already active, the installation details (API KEY, ZIP and manual).
You open it from Settings → Integration.
Note: there is no longer a separate Integrations screen. Each module lives where the work is done: the shop connectors are here, Shipment tracking is in the Sales menu (under Delivery note), and e-Invoice and Commissions have screens of their own.
What it is for
- Publishing your catalogue and your quoting engine on your own website, with live prices.
- Getting the API KEY that the plugin needs in order to talk to CotizaPrint.
- Downloading the plugin ZIP and reading its manual online.
- Requesting information about the connectors that are not available yet.
How to use it
- Go to Settings → Integration.
- Click the card of the connector you want (for example WordPress).
- Read its description and the how to switch it on steps.
- If the card shows Enabled, the Installation details appear: copy the API KEY.
- Click Download ZIP to get the plugin and install it on your website.
- Paste the API KEY into the plugin settings and save.
- If the card shows Disabled or Coming soon, click Request information.
Full installation guide: WordPress plugin.
How the screen is laid out
The cards are grouped by category. Today there is one: Shops and websites, with four connectors.
| Connector | Status | What it allows |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | Available | Catalogue and quoting engine on your WordPress site, with its own plugin. |
| PrestaShop | Available | Catalogue and quoting engine in your PrestaShop store, with its own module (PS 1.7 and 8.x). |
| WooCommerce | Coming soon | Publishing the catalogue in WooCommerce and receiving its orders. |
| Shopify | Coming soon | Taking the catalogue to Shopify and receiving the orders as sales documents. |
WordPress and PrestaShop are available now: both have their plugin, their API KEY and their manual. The other two are in preparation.
Each card shows its logo, its name and a status label: Enabled, Disabled or Coming soon.
The two ways to start
We do everything in both of them. You do not need an existing website or any technical knowledge: choose according to whether you already have a shop or not.
Option 1 · Connect the shop you already have
For anyone who already has WordPress (with or without WooCommerce) or PrestaShop up and running. We add the quoting engine inside it.
What we do:
- Installing the plugin on your website and connecting it to CotizaPrint.
- Checking initial compatibility with your template and with WooCommerce.
- Setting up the credentials.
- Testing the buying process from start to finish.
- Five products verified and working.
- One real order test.
- A short training session so that you know how to handle it.
What you provide: the administrator access to your website.
Option 2 · We build the shop and connect it
For anyone who has no website, or whose website is not up to the job. We start from scratch and hand over the shop built and connected.
What we do, on top of everything in Option 1:
- Building the website with WordPress and WooCommerce.
- A professional template, matched to your brand.
- Up to five information pages (about us, services, contact and so on).
- Up to ten products verified.
- Initial technical set-up of payments and shipping.
- A contact form.
- Handover of all the access details in your name.
What you provide: your logo and your text, if you have them.
Note: the two options are alternatives, they do not add up. Signing up for Option 2 replaces signing up for Option 1.
To find out which one suits you and on what terms, click Request information: your sales rep will talk it through with you, with no commitment.
What the module subscription covers
The ecommerce module is separate from your plan and is taken out on its own. It requires a Pro or Full CotizaPrint plan.
The subscription covers the CotizaPrint product itself:
- The right to use the plugin or connector.
- Publishing and synchronising your catalogue from CotizaPrint.
- Access to your quoting engines and to your prices.
- The communication between your shop and CotizaPrint.
- Maintenance and fixes for the plugin.
- Compatibility with the versions of WordPress and WooCommerce that we declare supported.
- Support for problems with the connection between CotizaPrint and your shop.
Module limits:
| Active products | Up to 100. If you need more, ask us. |
|---|---|
| Languages | 1 |
| Products we leave verified at sign-up | 5 (ten in Option 2) |
Maintenance of your WordPress (optional)
A service separate from the module, for anyone who does not want to look after their website. If you take it out, it includes:
- Basic managed hosting for one shop and one domain.
- Security certificate (SSL).
- Automatic backups.
- Basic monitoring that the website is up.
- Controlled updates of WordPress, of WooCommerce, of the template and of the plugins included in the package, with checks afterwards.
- Technical support by ticket for faults in the general running of your WordPress.
It does not include (quoted separately):
- Changing text or photographs regularly, creating new pages or loading new products.
- Designing banners or campaigns, SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads and social media.
- Developing new functions or design changes.
- Licences for third-party templates or plugins, and domain costs, unless we agree to include them.
- Urgent 24/7 support.
- Repairing free of charge any damage caused by plugins or changes installed by the customer, or recovering a website from an attack through shared passwords or unauthorised access.
- Maintenance of the company email accounts.
We also do bespoke work
Outside the standard scope, quoted separately:
- Design and adaptation to your brand beyond the template in the package.
- Development of special fields or functions for whatever your shop needs to quote.
- Catalogues of more than 100 products, extra languages, or special carriers and payment gateways.
- Repairing a WordPress site that already came with problems.
Excluded in every case, and taken out with its own provider: licences for third-party templates or plugins, the payment gateway and tax matters.
Buttons and actions — what each one is for
Wording exactly as it appears on screen. The status labels are indicators: you do not click them.
| Button / Control (wording on screen) | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Connector card (logo + name) | Click it to open its record with the description, the steps to switch it on and, if it is active, the installation details. |
| Enabled (green label) | The connector is in use on your account. Its record shows the API KEY and the downloads. |
| Disabled (grey label) | The connector exists but is not active on your account. Request information appears. |
| Coming soon (amber label) | The connector is not available yet. You can request information so that they let you know. |
| API KEY | Your organisation's key. You copy it and paste it into the plugin settings. It has the format 12_aBcDeF…: the number at the start identifies your organisation, so it must be pasted in full. |
| Regenerate (autorenew icon) | Creates a new API KEY after asking for confirmation. The previous one stops working instantly: you have to paste the new one into the plugin or your website stops showing products. |
| Download ZIP | Downloads the plugin file so that you can install it on your website. It always carries the latest published version. |
| View manual | Opens the connector manual in another tab, with the step-by-step installation and the fixes for the most common faults. It is always up to date: there is nothing to download. |
| View information | Opens a page in another tab with an example of the quoting engine working. |
| Request information | Lets your sales rep know that you are interested in that connector. You do not have to write any email. Once it is sent you will see "Request sent. We will get in touch shortly." |
| Close | Closes the Integration window. |
Statuses and messages
| Indicator / Message (wording on screen) | What it means |
|---|---|
| Enabled | The connector is working and you have its installation details available. |
| Disabled | Available in the product but not switched on for your account. |
| Coming soon | In preparation. It cannot be installed yet. |
| "This module is not switched on for your account yet." | Use Request information to ask for it to be set up. |
| "Request sent. We will get in touch shortly." | Your request has gone out. There is no need to send it again. |
Key concepts
- Connector (or integration): the bridge between CotizaPrint and an outside platform, so that the work comes in on its own and nothing has to be typed twice.
- API KEY: your organisation's unique key. It authorises the plugin to ask for your catalogue and your prices. Format
number_key; it is pasted in full and shared with nobody. - Installation ZIP: the file with the plugin, exactly as it is uploaded to the website.
- Quote: the document the customer generates from your website. It comes into CotizaPrint with its customer and its lines, ready to be accepted.
Features by plan / role
- TRY / STD / PRO / FULL: the Integration window is in every plan. Which connectors show as Enabled depends on what you have taken out.
- Role permissions: requires
auto_edit.
If something does not add up
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| I cannot find Integrations in the menu | It is no longer a screen of its own | It is in Settings → Integration. |
| My website suddenly stopped showing products | The API KEY was regenerated | Copy the new one and paste it into the plugin: the previous one is void. |
| The plugin says the key is not valid | It was pasted incomplete | The API KEY includes the number and the underscore at the start (12_…). Paste the whole thing. |
| The card I want shows Coming soon | That connector is not ready yet | Click Request information so that they let you know when it is released. |
Frequently asked questions
Q: Where is the Integrations screen? I cannot find it in the menu.
A: It is no longer a separate screen. The shop connectors are in Settings → Integration. Shipment tracking is in the Sales menu, and e-Invoice and Commissions have their own screens.
Q: How do I put the quoting engine on my website?
A: In Settings → Integration, click WordPress, copy the API KEY, click Download ZIP and install the plugin on your website. Then paste the API KEY into the plugin. The detailed steps are in WordPress plugin.
Q: What is the API KEY for?
A: It identifies your organisation. The plugin sends it with every request so that CotizaPrint knows which catalogue and which prices to return. Without it your website cannot show anything.
Q: Can I use the same API KEY on two websites?
A: Yes, the key belongs to the organisation, not to one particular website. Both will see the same catalogue. Bear in mind that when you regenerate it, both stop working until you paste the new one into each of them.
Q: I regenerated the API KEY and my website stopped working. What do I do?
A: That is what is meant to happen: when you regenerate, the previous key is void. Copy the new one from Installation details and paste it into the plugin settings. It works again as soon as you save.
Q: When should I regenerate the API KEY?
A: If you think somebody else may have seen it (a supplier who no longer works with you, a shared backup). In normal use there is no need to touch it.
Q: Can the prices on my website go out of date?
A: No. The plugin does not store any rates: it asks CotizaPrint for the price every time. If you change a price here, your website reflects it at the next request.
Q: Are my costs or my margins visible on the website?
A: No. Only the final price is sent to the connector. The cost and the margin never leave CotizaPrint.
Q: What happens when a customer asks for a quote from my website?
A: It comes into CotizaPrint as a quote, with its customer created and its lines. The customer receives the PDF by email with a link to accept it. Once accepted, the quote becomes a work order.
Q: I have PrestaShop, not WordPress. Can I connect it yet?
A: Yes. PrestaShop is available now, with its own module for PrestaShop 1.7 and 8.x. In Settings → Integration click PrestaShop, copy the API KEY and click Download ZIP. The steps are in PrestaShop module. If the card shows Disabled, click Request information so that it can be switched on for your account.
Q: Which shops can I connect today?
A: WordPress and PrestaShop: both have their own plugin, API KEY and manual. WooCommerce and Shopify are in preparation; their card shows Coming soon and you can ask to be told when they are ready with Request information.
Q: I do not have a website. Can I still have the quoting engine?
A: Yes. We build the whole shop for you and connect it: a professional template matched to your brand, information pages, verified products, payments and shipping set up, and the access details in your hands. Click Request information and your sales rep will talk it through with you.
Q: Do you set the shop up for me or do I have to do it myself?
A: We do it. Whether you already have a website (we connect it) or not (we build it for you), we take care of the installation, the connection, the testing and a training session. All you provide is the access details, or your logo and your text if we are starting from scratch.
Q: How much does the connector cost?
A: It is taken out separately from your plan, and the terms depend on whether we start from an existing shop or build a new one. Click Request information on the connector card and your sales rep will give you the detail, with no commitment.
Q: Do you also do the design and the maintenance of the website?
A: Yes, as a service separate from the connector: design and adaptation to your brand, hosting and domain, updates, text and photos, new pages and products, SEO and campaigns. Talk to your sales rep about it.
Q: What is excluded in every case?
A: Licences for third-party templates or plugins, the payment gateway and tax matters: those are taken out with their own provider. Everything else (shop, design, maintenance) we can do ourselves.
Q: How many products can I publish?
A: Up to 100 active products. At sign-up we leave you five verified and working (ten if we build the shop for you), and from there you publish as many as you need. If you are going to handle a larger catalogue, mention it when you request information.
Q: Do I need a particular CotizaPrint plan to have the module?
A: Yes: it requires a Pro or Full plan. The ecommerce module is taken out separately from your plan.
Q: Does the module work in several languages?
A: The module includes one language. If you need more, it is quoted separately.
Q: Can I take out both options, connecting and building a shop?
A: They do not add up: they are alternatives. If we build the shop for you (Option 2), signing up for it already includes the connection and replaces signing up for Option 1.
Q: Do you look after my WordPress for me?
A: Yes, as an optional service separate from the module: hosting, security certificate, backups, uptime monitoring, controlled updates of WordPress, WooCommerce, template and plugins, and support by ticket for faults in the general running.
Q: If I take out the maintenance, will you change my text and my photos every month?
A: No: that is a different service. The maintenance covers keeping your website up to date, available and updated. Changing text and photos, creating pages, loading products, banners, campaigns, SEO or social media is quoted separately.
Q: A plugin I installed myself broke my website. Is that covered by the maintenance?
A: Repairing it is not covered free of charge, and neither is recovery from an attack through shared passwords or unauthorised access. It is assessed and quoted.
Q: Do I get 24/7 support?
A: Technical support is by ticket. Urgent 24/7 support is not included; ask us if you need it.
Q: I sell with a particular carrier or payment gateway. Do you integrate those?
A: Special carriers or gateways are quoted separately. The initial technical set-up of payments and shipping is included when we build the shop for you; taking out the gateway itself and the tax side goes with its own provider.
Q: Where is the manual? There used to be a PDF.
A: The manual is now read online with View manual: it opens in another tab and is always in its latest version, so there is nothing to download or keep. You also have it in the CotizaPrint help search.
Q: Does Download ZIP always give me the latest version of the plugin?
A: Yes, the button serves the most recently published version. If you already had the plugin installed, download it again and install it over the top to update it.
Q: Do I need to know how to program in order to install it?
A: No. You upload the ZIP from the WordPress dashboard, paste the API KEY and place the shortcodes on the pages. The plugin comes with a Help tab and a Test connection button that warns you if anything is missing.
